Whenever I'm trying to convince someone that kung fu films were not just "bloody trash," I generally use a Sun Chung film like "Avenging Eagle" or "Fistful of Talons" as one of my examples. Along with good action, they have cinematic qualities that most movie lovers can recognize. I don't often completely change anyone's opinion, but I like to think that after seeing a kung fu movie directed by Sun Chung, people have a little more respect for the genre.
